Bohol is one of the best tourist destinations in the Philippines. It is best known for the chocolate hills, tarsier, and white sand beaches in Panglao. But did you know that there is more in Bohol than the attractions mentioned above.
As a nature rich province it is not shocking that magnificent waterfalls lie around the island. In this blogpost let me guide you in a waterfalls adventure around Bohol. (We visited the waterfalls during the summer of March 2016 where temperature hits around 48-50 degrees so you might see little water in the falls)
Bohol Waterfalls Complete Itinerary
There are several ways to get around the various waterfalls in Bohol. You can either rent a car/van/jeep/motorbike or ride the bus. I recommend that you rent your transport because the towns are far from each other and bus is not that frequent especially in the interior part of the province.
Mag-aso Falls
Mag-aso falls is located in barangay Can-omay, Antequera, Bohol. It is around 18.5km. from Tagbilaran City. There were two entrance fees, first is 10 pesos upon entering route to the falls then another 20 pesos upon reaching the main place.
To reach the falls you have to descent on a well paved 197 concrete stairs under lashes of tall trees. The falls is 25 feet in height and you can see two beautiful waterfalls cascade. What I love about the place is it’s clean and peaceful.

Busay Falls
The beautiful busay falls is located few meters away from the famous twin hanging bridge of Sevilla, Bohol. What I love about the falls is that it is not a known tourist attraction. Not all locals know the place. We ask several people and only one by stander knows the place and he is even hesitant if the place he direct us is the Busay falls. He just confirms it after I showed him some photos.
Tip:
- Coming from the twin hanging bridge, instruct your driver to slow down and look attentively to your right and you can see the falls from the hiway.
- Swimming is available but not near the falls according to the local whom I spoken to. Just swim near above the falls.

Other attractions in Sevilla:
- Twin Hanging Bridge – made of bamboo shaft and is 40 meters in length and 25 to 30 meters high from the great Sipatan River.

The Pahangog Twin falls is 14km away from the national hiway and is situated in barangay Guingoyuran, Dimiao, Bohol. The waterfalls doesn’t care if it’s summer because of its water abundance.
