Before, Maravilla Beach is best known for its set-up tent and even referred to as the new beach tent city of Cebu next to Moalboal. About Therrish Beach Resort
A middle-class grade resort in Tabuelan and a unique one. Therrish Beach Resort is a locally owned basketball-themed resort managed by Mrs. Tessie E. Repalam in Maravilla Beach. It is the first resort to have a restaurant on the beach line of Maravilla and the second to have a swimming pool. Therrish beach resort has been in Maravilla since 2014 but just recently this year 2019 they have finished the new building and have new amenities to offer.

How to go to Therrish Beach Resort
Going to the Therrish Beach resort is as easy as ABC. Since it is already a well-known resort in Maravilla Beach, a quick inquiry from the locals would direct you exactly to the resort but you can also follow the instructions below.
From Cebu City by Public Transport
• Ride a bus or a van at Cebu City North bus terminal.
• Van fare to Tabuelan is 150.00 php. Regular bus (Ceres and Inday Meme) fare to Tabuelan is 100.00 php. Ceres AC bus fare to Tabuelan is 150.00 php and Ceres AC bus fare to Bacolod via Tabuelan is 230.00 php.
• Drop off at Public Market and ride a habal-habal going to Therrish Beach Resort. The fare from Tabuelan Public Market to Therrish Beach Resort or Maravilla Beach is 50.00 php per person. The habal-habal can accommodate 2 pax.
From Cebu City by Private Car/Transport
You can easily input your current location or any famous landmark like malls in Cebu City and just follow the direction to Therrish Beach Resort. In the maps, you will be given two options – via Central Nautical highway or Cebu North Coastal Road and via Cebu Transcentral Highway or Balamban road. Both ways will take at least 2 hours and 30 minutes of travel time.
Via Cebu North Coastal Road
If you wanted to view the beauty of northern Cebu then this is the best way to go. You will be passing the cities and towns of Mandaue, Consolacion, Liloan, Danao, Carmen, Catmon, and Sogod.

Via Transcentral Highway
If a greener scenery more natural landscape is the view you wanted to get then the best option is going to Tabuelan via Transcentral Highway. There are several coffee shops and restaurants around this area with a great view of Cebu City, a quick stop will be a great add-on to your adventure. In this route, you will pass the northwestern towns of Balamban, Asturias, and Tuburan.
My Personal Experience
Most of my visit to Tabuelan is a quick one and here is a Tabuelan complete guide for you. But today is totally a perfect vacation for me and my BFF ate Chubs for I was sick the entire week before that weekend.
The middle-class building was totally new so everything is almost perfect aside from some few fixtures that are yet to be put up (mirror for each room and trash bins).
The rooms are simple yet cozy, and since the resort has religiously followed the middle-class grade standard it is so spacious that I think the queen bedroom can accommodate up to 4 to 5 persons. For the digital nomad, the room has 6 outlets, a table, and 2 chairs and 3mbps wifi.
The hot and cold shower works perfectly but too high for my reach including the clothes hanger in both toilets and baths (I’m only 5ft). There is a bidet in the toilet that makes me really happy and a total plus is that the toilet and bathroom are separate (but still inside the bedroom).
The garden, one of my favorite parts of the resort I say is well maintained and adding to the colors of the resort are basketball-themed murals in every wall and corner.
We heard that the resort has delicious food but unluckily we have not tried some of their best dishes but we had the basic breakfast which is heaven with a plentiful serving. I almost did not finish mine.
The beachfront is what I love best of the Therrish Beach Resort. It is shared with the public Maravilla Beach of Tabuelan and bias aside this side of Maravilla beach is cleaner and has a wider beachfront. I went out early in the morning and saw some staff cleaning the shoreline and did I tell you that they have the most adorable staff – very accommodating, courteous, and friendly.
In totality my stay at Therrish Beach Resort is comfortable and just the vacation I need to get back to grind after a week of being under the weather.
